Why support higher education?
The current economic situation has shed a bright light on the important role that higher education plays in society. Studies clearly reveal that investing in education and increasing the number of university graduates positively impacts economic growth and many elements that create a high quality of life, including health, wealth distribution and social harmony.

Among OECD countries, Italy ranks among the lowest in number of university graduates and shows one of the steepest declines in the number of young people who enroll in university (a 20% decline in the last 10 years).

The impact of these statistics on future generations is critical: the more people are "NEET" (Not in Education, Employment or Training), the less social mobility and the more intergenerational inequality they experience.

In response to this phenomenon, Bocconi invested this year more than €25 million in scholarships and tuition waivers and today, one in five Bocconi students receives some form of financial aid.

Supporting higher education is an essential means to reversing this negative trend. Therefore, we invite you to join us in a pact of solidarity between generations, one based on shared values and aimed at promoting growth and prosperity. Together, we can realize this new vision of the future through young people.
