The effort was immediately successful among Alumni: approximately 100 participants in the evening's event contributed to the Scholarship. Along with an important matching gift from the BAA, donations funded Undergraduate Partial Scholarships.
This gesture was the first form of "giving back" promoted by the University with the BAA, a project destined to be repeated in the future, encouraging yesterday's students to support today's.
Loyal to this pact between generations, in the years since, the BAA has donated its budget proceeds - generated by prudent management of its finances - to support the project, funding On Campus Alumni enrolled in a Bocconi Master of Science program.
Since 2010, more than 20 students have been supported by the BAA 8 for the Bachelor of Science program, and 15 for the Master of Science program. During the 2015 and 2016 Christmas Party, this initiative was reintroduced and the response was extraordinary. The impact? Three scholarships for brilliant graduate students: Benedetta Bernabini, Alberto Maltecca and Letizia Castellano.
Found out more about them in the "In their own words" section below.
Christmas Party 2017 - All for one, One for AllAgain this year, the traditional holiday party will inspire a pact between generations. During the evening, funds will be raised to support the BAA Scholarship Fund. The Christmas Party for BAA members aims to become an occasion to give a valuable gift, offering the chance to get a quality education to those outstanding students, who without economic help, would have problems supporting their studies at Bocconi.
Gifts of every size count and can make the difference.

Benedetta Bernabini - BAA Scholar 2017/18 - BAA London"Alumni support and their investment in students is a powerful way to fully achieve our University's motto: 'Empowering Talent.' Thanks to this scholarship, I have the means to live up to the words that symbolize Bocconi by developing my skills to the best of my abilities. The opportunity to do so is the best gift that an ambitious young person could receive. The chance to meet other Alumni and get to know the people financing my scholarship makes me proud to be a part of this community".
Benedetta comes from Cesena (FC) and she is enrolled in the 1st year of the Master of Science in Economics and Management of Government and International Organizations.

Alberto Maltecca - BAA Scholar 2017/18
"To me, being a BAA Scholarship recipient means continuing to study hard. Because without this scholarship, I would have had to be a working student and I know from experience that it would be very difficult, if not impossible. It is an honor to know that Bocconi Alumni chose me for this opportunity. I therefore feel even more responsible for my achievements than before. Being a direct recipient of Alumni support, as a Bocconian, is the most one can ask for, so I am truly grateful to all the donors".
Alberto comes from Bergamo (BG) and he is enrolled in the 1st year of the Master of Science in Management.

Letizia Castellano - BAA Scholar 2016/17
"Being assigned the BAA Scholarship was fundamental because it gave me peace of mind and allowed me to focus more on my studies. It has also inspired me to show that I deserve this scholarship. I would like to thank all the donors who supported me during the BAA Christmas Party, not only because they have allowed a student like me to continue her studies at our excellent university, but also because the ongoing trust they place in young people has been an inspiration to us over the years. You have demonstrated that you support us and believe in our potential so much that you contribute part of your wealth to allow us to prove it. Thank you again".
Letizia comes from Galatina (LE) and she is enrolled in the 2nd year of the Master of Science in Economics and Management of Government and International Organizations.
